A Word on Hippies
You know what? I was wondering something. Hippies. You know hippies right? I don't mean your parents, I mean dirty 18-30somethings. I guess they can be older or younger than that but that's not the matter at hand so whatever. Anyway I am in the unfortunate situation where I am constantly surrounded by these things and their odor, so I consider myself an expert on not only their lifestyles but on their thought processes. Basicly the hippie cares about three things.
1)Peace man this and that and non-confrontation. Whether they're all peace man this and that because they are actual proponents of the peace movement, or they are just to lazy to have a stance on issues which they may have to think about and saying "peace man" is that much easier is not something I wish to discuss here and now, but this is certainly one of their three driving forces. (OK, loafing forces.)
2)Drugs. Not just cannibus. All of them. In large amounts.
3)Music. Here is where I begin my point. Hippies claim to be all open minded about music and art and stuff, but contradict themselves by only listening to Phish (since the Dead are dead) and and looking at Dali paintings. How interesting can only listening to bad recordings of live shows be? I mean if you only want to listen to one band, that's fine with me, just don't claim to be open and diverse and all that stuff. You know?
Now I must get a Sanducci.
