Geniuses are Retarded Also.

If you read this article about the recent happenings of Bobby Fischer, or if you already know what has been happening recently to Bobby Fischer, you'll know what I'm talking about.

He's being charged with the very serious crime of playing chess in Yugoslavia in 1992. He's been hiding abroad ever since. Here is the last line of the article:

Long rumored to have been living in Japan, Mr. Fischer was reportedly sheltered and helped by chess devotees. He was said to have frequented a Tokyo chess club.

Apparently, this genius decided that being not only the best chess player in this Tokyo Chess Club, but the whitest, was inconspicuous enough to avoid capture.

Apparently however, this stupidity paid off, because Japanese authorities didn't either;
a) hear the rumors that he may be hiding in Japan (even though this paper had I guess), or
b) think to check the chess clubs for the white guy kicking everyone's ass.
