Proof that People are Stupid:

They buy boats.

If you take the costs of buying, fueling, and maintaing a boat, added those to the costs of docking, licensing, and whatever the hell else you have to buy for a boat, then divided that total by the amount of time that you actually spend in the boat, it works out to something like $18,500 an hour.

Now that's money well spent.
