My Thoughts on the Phish Farewell Show in Coventry, VT:

So check this out. My store is on NY Route 7, about 30 miles from the Vermont border. Thursday and Friday I was up to my neck in hippes. I came to the conclusion that lots of them were going up to Coventry, Vermont, to see the last of 5,923,211 Phish shows, which totaled 822,338,954,943,532,192,701 hours of music. I called my friend Goz (AKA The Ill Meat Hook-Up) to see what was going down, and he layed it on me like this: The whole place is mud, everyone is wearing shopping bags as shoes, every car in Vermont is stuck in mud, the traffic line is 48 hours long, (yes, it was 2pm on Saturday when I spoke with him, and he said that our friend Bob has been in traffic since Thursday afternoon,) our friend's RV isn't going anywhere anytime soon, and about 20,000 ticket holders are going to be turned away and told to turn around on a single lane Vermont highway.

Jesus Christ am I glad I only had to work 7 double shifts in a row.
