However, I don't feel bad about it.
We deserve it. Even if we don't win the World Series, Red Sox fans have been at the mercy of Fate's grasp for the past 26 years. Bucky Dent, Bill Buckner, Grady Little, call fate what you will, but it all refers to the same being. Finally, we did it. However it was not just this team. Mind you that 5 years ago most of these Red Sox were not Red Sox. They were Twins, Marlins, Pirates, Phillies, Royals, and Indians. By 'team' I mean those of us who stood by and waited for a Sox team to accomplish what this one has. We waited, and we all know that good things come to those who wait. This Red Sox team won't be disappointed, regardless of this years WS outcome. In our minds, we've already won.
